Description:
Impact NW is nonprofit that seeks to prevent homelessness by partnering with people navigating their journey to stability and opportunity. Their programs help people facing housing insecurity find relief and build strengths, experiences and opportunities. More than half the people they serve identify as Indigenous, Black, Brown, Melanated, Immigrant or Asian, as does their staff. To change lives, they partner with local and state government, health care and other nonprofit organizations to deliver more than 30 programs. Impact NW’s Housing and Safety Net programs include Energy Assistance, Housing & rent Assistance, and Pathways to Food Security. Impact NW connects families with resources that empower them to achieve self-sufficiency. Their staff assesses each family’s needs and helps them apply for benefit programs such as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), and LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program). Impact NW has programs throughout Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington Counties in Oregon and Clark County in Washington.
