Description:
Northwest Workers’ Justice Project (NWJP) protects workplace dignity by supporting the efforts of low-wage, immigrant and contingent workers to improve wages and working conditions and to eliminate imbalances in power that lead to inequity. In addition to policy advocacy and education, NWJP provides legal representation. They have four on-staff attorneys ready to guide their clients through the process of asserting their federal and state employment rights and the protections to which they are entitled. NWJP helps workers in the low-wage sector, especially those who are immigrant and/or temporary. While they strive to take on as many clients as they can, NWJP gives preference to cases in which classes of workers are affected and those whose results will influence public policy.
