Easterseals Oregon provides employment opportunities and job training for people with disabilities, connecting job seekers (those with disabilities, veterans, and older workers) with employers while providing assistive technology and accessible transportation. Easterseals also offers housing for the elderly and veterans and connects them with community resources.
Easterseals Oregon’s job training and placements programs include:
Connecting Communities Program (CCP) CCP provides services for individuals with disabilities who speak English as a second language. Participants receive services essential to their employment success. CCP offers Workplace Readiness Workshops such as job application completion, mock interviews, resume building, and many more that provide employability skills and software skills required to obtain and maintain employment. The program also provides English classes, computer classes, and overall help for participants to find and retain employment with other support services and accommodations needed for employment in collaboration with Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation. The Connecting Communities Program has offices in Portland, Beaverton, Woodburn, Salem, and Eugene. Participants must be 18 years of age or older; have a documented disability, be able to work legally in the US; and have a language barrier or speak English as a second language.

Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) Easterseal Oregon seeks to lift seniors (55+) out of financial hardship and/or homelessness through housing and employment assistance to empower seniors to have a dignified and fulfilling life through their Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). SCSEP serves job seekers 55+ in over a dozen counties across Oregon through paid internship opportunities and career assistance; computer and job-skills classes; and internships available to no-profit and government agencies.

- Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRAP) HVRP provides services that assist veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless to help them reintegrate into their communities and find meaningful employment. HVRP provides veterans with the tools they need to gain new skill sets such as financial literacy, computer training, job search training, and interview guidance. Veterans learn skills to retain employment and become financially independent. This program is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor.
Program services include: employability and skills assessment; job readiness services, including life skills & money management, vocational counseling & guidance, job club, workshop job search assistance and addressing barriers to successful employment; and 90, 180, and 270-day job retention follow up.
Participants must be homeless or at risk of homelessness, a veteran of the United States Armed Forces, and employment ready.
