Past Lives was founded by a former prisoner whose experience of incarceration inspired him to embrace his dream to build stronger and more just communities. Past Lives believes in the strength of creative community to find place, purpose and belonging.
Past Lives is 26,000 square floor makerspace providing members 24/7/365 secure access to a wood shop, metal shop with blacksmithing, welding, fabrication, metal casing, a textile studio with screen printing, auto-embroidery and leatherworking, stained glass studio, tech hub with CNC and 3D printing, dark room for film and photography and more. They offer private studio spaces for rent and host classes, art galleries, and various events. Past Lives provides the collective resources to flourish through creative collaboration. They share their tools and knowledge to help each person grow.
