Portland Community College’s intensive Maritime Welding Pathway on the Vigor shipyard prepares students for employment in the booming welding industry. In three terms, pathway completers learn shielded metal, fluxed-core, submerged arc-welding processes, and earn six industry-recognized certifications. Students also receive career preparation services and exposure to industry employers. Participants on federal supervision may be eligible for the program on a reduced or no cost basis.
To learn more information about the Maritime Welding Pathway, go to pcc.edu/programs/welding/ and attend an information session held at the Swan Island Trades Center located at 6400 N. Cutter Circle, Portland, Oregon 97217.
